Interested in giving back to your local area?

Fitzrovia Community Centre would not be able to run without the generous support of our volunteers. Whether you have an hour here or there to spare or would like to share your skills and develop new ones, come and talk to us!

Did you know that helping others can also benefit our own mental health and wellbeing? For example, it can reduce stress as well as improve mood, self-esteem and happiness.

We have a wide variety of volunteer roles available, but if none of these looks like you, feel free to get in touch to discuss what we can do together. You don’t need any experience to volunteer with us—it’s all about gaining skills and experience and trying something new. But if you do have a particular talent that you would like to share, we’d love to hear about it!

Can you help us by volunteering as a…?

  • Receptionist/Administrator

  • Gardener

  • Female mentor in the creative industries

  • Activity leader, if you have a special skill or talent you would like to share!

  • Salesforce/Database Administrator

Help Us Keep the Repair Café Running – Volunteers Needed!

Our repair café is growing faster than we ever imagined, and we need more volunteers to keep up with demand. Can you lend a hand?

  • Welcomers – Greet visitors, find out what they need fixed, explain how the event works, and hand out coffee and cake.

  • Electricals Experts – If you have experience fixing small appliances, we need you! You’ll be part of a team supported by a retired electrical engineer.

  • Clothing Menders – Help people mend their own clothes by teaching basic repair skills. No dressmaking or alterations, just simple fixes. A short training session is provided if needed.

If you’d like to make a difference and be part of this rewarding community project, get in touch asap!
