Art for Wellness - London Festival of Architecture special event

As part of the London Festival of Architecture, we will be offering a month of special activities, as part of our regular programme.

Participants will be invited to Reimagine Fitzrovia in this series of workshops using mindful art techniques through a variety of media, including collage, paint, drawing and mosaic.

  • 7th June: Create a Safe Space with Collage and Drawing

  • 14th June: Paint Your Own Wooden Home for Birds

  • 21st June: Drawing Buildings with Ink and Sticks

  • 28th June: Making Mosaic Coasters inspired by local mosaic patterns, e.g. All Souls Church, Fitzrovia Chapel, Fitzroy Tavern and The Apple Store (Regents Street)

Entry fee: 'pay what you can', suggested donation £3

Each workshop will be standalone, and participants are welcome to join one or all. Spaces are limited and booking is essential. Brought to you by community artist Lucia Jaffer, as part of our weekly Art for Wellness class.

These events are part of the London Festival of Architecture 2024.

Please note: all participants are required to complete a registration form before joining the class.

About the artist:

Lucia Jaffer is an artist, designer, maker and organiser. She has a special interest in carnival arts and has worked on many large and small-scale events and festivals including Thames Festival, Notting Hill Carnival, Gay Pride and Glastonbury. Additionally, she is a is a qualified Mental Health Arts Practitioner and has training in arts for wellbeing subjects and trauma-informed practice. She enjoys utilising and transforming recycled materials.
