Dickens is an air-conditioned room on the Lower Ground Floor, with a hatch to a shared kitchen and is popular for use as an open-plan office space. Approximately 10m x 5m Seats 35 in a theatre-stlye setup or 16, boardroom-style, around a table. It has a concertina door to another room, Crisp, which means both can be booked and joined together to make a much larger space. All of our rooms are named after notable characters in Fitzrovia's history. We are proud of our local heritage. Charles Dickens (1812-1870), remains one of the world’s best loved authors. He lived at a number of locations in Fitzrovia including Cleveland Street where the Workhouse, just around the corner from Fitzrovia Centre, served as inspiration for the setting of ‘Oliver Twist’.
