Volunteer at the Fitzrovia Centre

Can you offer time and skills to your local community centre? In return for as much or as little time time as you  can spare, you’ll be helping make Fitzrovia a better place to live and work. We’re currently urgently looking for people to fill the following roles:

Practical help for Fitzfest

We’re working in partnership with the amazing music festival Fitzfest in June. Are you interested in helping set up rooms, move chairs, greet visitors? Just one session is fine and you’ll  have the satisfaction of meeting neighbours and new local friends.

Helping with our over-55s’ dance class

Our Monday Fitzrovia Village is one of the centre’s highlights. There’s loads of laughter and lively sounds coming from the room. Could you assist on some of the practical steps that help make the sessions go with a swing?

Green fingers for our garden

Our community garden is a hidden treasure. We’d love to have a community gardener with some knowledge to maintain and develop it. This would be only a few hours each week.

Be the face of the Fitzrovia Centre

The friendly faces in our reception are some of the most important in the centre. Could you volunteer a few hours to greet our visitors and make them feel welcome? It’s a lovely role and you’ll really get to know the neighbourhood plus develop the skills needed to be front of house.

Become part of our decision-making team

Being a trustee for the Fitzrovia Centre means making choices that will have an impact on the lives of people who live, work and play in Fitzrovia. Our trustees make a huge difference to their local area and the wider community. In doing this, the skills that they foster and develop include strategic planning, marketing, financial, team work, marketing and fundraising. Please let us know if you or your employees have time and talents to spare to become part of our board.

If you can step forward for any of these roles, please pop into reception at 2, Foley Street and let us know. Alternatively, you can email Rebecca, our community lead, at community@fitzroviacentre.org. We’re really looking forward to hearing from you.
