Background

The Fitzrovia Community Centre located at 2 Foley Street,  in the City of Westminster, just across from the Camden borough boundary. The Centre arose from a section 106 funding by University College London Hospital (UCLH), allocated to the London Borough of Camden to provide a new community centre.

It comprises an area of approximately 670 square metres with disabled access to the ground floor and an extensive lower ground floor including an outdoor courtyard. The building has undergone a major refurbishment and is designed to be a modern and welcoming multi-purpose building, with a range of rooms available for large and small groups and individuals. It will have some long-term tenants and facilities for short-term use by organisations, community groups, and local people.

Aims

The new community centre aims to become the hub of activities for local people with an emphasis on increasing social cohesion. We are particularly keen to develop services to meet the needs of local residents and workers. The overall ambition of the FCCT is to improve the health and well-being of people who live and work in Fitzrovia and to support the long term community.
